Q7 Wise King Solomon. PursueGODkids.org. Lesson Overview. In today’s lesson, we’re learning about Solomon. Solomon was David’s son, and when David was old and about to die, he made Solomon king. Solomon wanted to be a good king and he asked God for help.
When David was king, he really wanted to build a beautiful temple where people could go to worship God. But God told David that Solomon would get to be the one to build the temple. So, during Solomon’s reign as king, he oversaw the building of this big, beautiful temple.
