3 Νοε 2022 · The open baffle hi-fi, high quality speaker design introduced here provides a substitute to the common loudspeaker housing. Its sound emission pattern resembles electrostatic pattern. It works without enclosure or housing for the woofers, although employs normal dynamics for the drive units.

7 Μαρ 2022 · My first choice of drivers would be Supravox 215 (or maybe 165) for the mids, a Mundorf AMT (AMT23D6.1-R) with homemade waveguide. A reference design on the Supravox homepage suggest th 285 as woofer but I wonder if there is a good combination utilizing a 15" such as the Spatial Europe speaker.
23 Οκτ 2007 · You’ve always wanted to try an open baffle design. Why NOT build this speaker? Too simple. You need more of a challenge. Too cheap, you need to impress your friends. You like a hot midrange. You need ultimate finesse and flattest response. Your listening room is huge – or tiny. Your amp is a 2 watt SET-DHT job. You would rather go to the beach.

Open baffles are renowned for their clarity, but not the amount of bass that they produce. Full-range drivers gain from not having a crossover between them and the power amps so there are no phase shifts or other 'manipulations' of the signal.
