I have owned and enjoyed full-range speakers before (Omega Super Alnico XRS) but only listened to open baffle (Lii Song Leonidis, dipole panels). My goal is flat, clean, dynamic, high WAF.

It works without enclosure or housing for the woofers, although employs normal dynamics for the drive units.
7 Μαρ 2022 · The bass performance of the Eminence 3015LF is improved by the open back 'enclosure' cabinet which increases the front to back distance for better performance output for bass frequencies. This cabinet supports the front baffle which is solid maple. Finally, the dimensions of these speakers is 104 cm H, 46 cm W, and 46 cm D.

23 Οκτ 2007 · You’ve always wanted to try an open baffle design. Why NOT build this speaker? Too simple. You need more of a challenge. Too cheap, you need to impress your friends. You like a hot midrange. You need ultimate finesse and flattest response. Your listening room is huge – or tiny. Your amp is a 2 watt SET-DHT job. You would rather go to the beach.

18 Φεβ 2015 · Choosing a type of speaker I wanted to try building a line array for some time but got a bit side tracked by the concept of an open baffle. Thanks a lot Poultrygeist! That's when I thought about combining the two types of speaker designs.
