1 Οκτ 2023 · This fantastic DIY dog soap bar recipe is all natural and contains a number of essential oils along with oatmeal. This is a great flea and tick repellent dog shampoo and it’s also anti itch to help keep your pet calm if they need a soothing shampoo.
Ingredients. First additions: ¼ cup lye – also called 100% sodium hydroxide (find it here or at local hardware stores) ⅔ cup olive oil. ¾ cup distilled water. ⅔ cup coconut oil (find organic coconut oil here) ⅔ cup other oil – I’ve been using a blend of safflower and sunflower. Directions. Mix the lye into the distilled water and set aside.

(Printable Recipe Below) 1 pound - Melt and Pour Soap - I get mine on Amazon, but you can get it at Walmart, Hobby Lobby or Michaels. 1 tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil. ¼ cup Oatmeal. ¼ cup Lavender. 10 - 15 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil. 10 - 15 drops Peppermint Essential Oil. 10-15 drops Chamomile Essential Oil.
