31 Μαΐ 2024 · I could use the PCM2902 as a bridge USB-->SPDIF and I also want to connect a streamer with SPDIF (optical) out (probably Wiim mini to use with Tidal connect). So I am looking for an IC with either direct SPDIF input or I need to do conversion to I2S in between.
25 Ιαν 2021 · If you go with a Raspberry Pi streaming solution, you can, depending on whether you have a USB or SPDIF DAC, make it part of a new streaming solution. If the DAC is capable of 192/24 and DSD, it can be used to stream virtually anything and everything when connected to a Pi, even MQA if you use Roon or Audirvana as your player app.
On this tutorial I'll tell you how to make your own USB DAC with Amplifier inside on it! Don't expect too much about sound quality.. Also read my other creation : DIY Smallest USB DAC With Amplifier!
If you want your DAC to have not only a SPDIF input, but a USB, then we buy a special card, a link to it and other components will be at the end of the review.
3 Μαΐ 2022 · I have explained how to connect from this PCM1706 USB to I2S module to this TDA1541 before. Those connection are the same when using the TDA1543 DAC IC because they have the same input mode. The TDA1541 decoupling capacitors for dynamic element matching is all matching 100nF MKP capacitor.
Having previously built a simple USB DAC with PCM2705, I was surprised by the improvement in sound quality over the motherboard sound output. I decided to go full out and build a more ambitious DAC using PCM2707 (PCM2705 is NRND and the TQFP32 of PCM2707 is better to hand solder compared to SSOP28).
