17 Ιουν 2020 · I'm looking to build a DAC with a USB input. As far as I understand this needs a converter from USB to the DAC interface (I2S, SPDIF, etc.). Recording is not required but would be nice to have, so that a full audio interface can be built.

Having previously built a simple USB DAC with PCM2705, I was surprised by the improvement in sound quality over the motherboard sound output. I decided to go full out and build a more ambitious DAC using PCM2707 (PCM2705 is NRND and the TQFP32 of PCM2707 is better to hand solder compared to SSOP28).
3 Δεκ 2019 · You could make a simple headphone amp for $10 and it would increase the lifespan of the op amp you have in your DAC. Probably sound better too. If you do add this Amplifier op amp you should put the volume in between the dac and headphone amp. I wouldn't modify the resistors in the circuit.
