I placed an order at 4patriots for survival food. They stated that it would take 7 to ten days to process and ship my order. They stated that they would email me a notification of shipping and a tracking number for my package. They did not! After a week I contacted them to inquire about my order.
What have your experiences been like with companies like My Patriot Supply and others that package food for multiple-decade-storage? Does it actually keep? Does it taste like Alpo, or is it good?

4 Patriots emergency food kits are easy, small packages, and they give ya the tote to store them in. Pretty nice, however a tad on the expensive side. My next (cause I'm always buying a little here and there) will be the Mountain House brand.
I've had their soups back with it was "My Patriot Supply" and they taste good, however at the 25 year mark, unless it is stored under optimal conditions (basically room temperature year round) the nutritional value begins to degrade. 25 years is a stretch, but 10? 15? Easily.
