The Consumer Assistance Program's (CAP) vehicle retirement option offers eligible consumers an incentive to retire their operational vehicle. Vehicle owners may receive $1,000 to retire their vehicle at a BAR-contracted dismantler. To determine your eligibility and incentive amount, start the application process on the program website.
Application Process: To determine eligibility, the applicant must apply online or mail a completed application to CAP. Participation is available on a first-come, first-serve basis each fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) until funds are exhausted. Payment methods: Program Fees: No fee.
