  1. 3 Αυγ 2021 · Our guide to Spell Slots, from 1st to 9th level spells, including how they work, upcasting spells, recovering slots, ritual spellcasting, and multiclassing.

  2. 27 Ιαν 2022 · When a character casts a spell, he or she expends a slot of that spell’s level or higher, effectively “filling” a slot with the spell. You can think of a spell slot as a groove of a certain size – small for a 1st level slot, larger for a spell of higher level.

  3. This calculator uses the multiclassing rules found in the 5th Edition Player's Handbook, with the assumption that artificers will be treated as half-casters, like paladins and rangers.

  4. Spell Slots. The Sorcerer table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your sorcerer spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these sorcerer spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

  5. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than half your wizard level (rounded up), and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher. For example, if you're a 4th-level wizard, you can recover up to two levels worth of spell slots.

  6. The Warlock table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your warlock spells of 1st through 5th level. The table also shows what the level of those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level.

  7. You "collect" four 1st level spell slots and two 2nd level spell slots when your character reaches level 3 in Bard, Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer and Wizard class. You never lose the spell slots, you gain them to use when you want.
