13 Ιουν 2023 · A recursive DNS server uses the DNSKEY resource record to validate responses from the authoritative DNS server. To validate responses, the DNS server decrypts the digital signatures contained in DNSSEC-related resource records and compares the hash values.

DNSSEC increases security by adding cryptographic signatures to DNS records; these signatures can be checked to verify that a record came from the correct DNS server. For the implementation of these cryptographic signatures, two new DNS record types were created: DNSKEY and DS.

11 Ιουλ 2016 · Fortunately, enabling DNSSEC Validation in Windows' DNS Server is fairly easy. First, we need to make sure that our DNS Server is configured to do DNSSEC Validation. We can do this by right clicking the DNS Server in the DNS Manager console and going in the advanced tab and selecting " Enable DNSSEC validation for remote responses ":

This test will the DNSSEC records for a domain. The DNS lookup is done directly against the domain's authoritative name server, so changes to DNS Records should show up instantly.
