  1. 29 Ιαν 2011 · I'm currently trying to play my all time favorite game, Final Fantasy X, on the PCSX2 emulator and I'm constantly running at around 35-40 FPS, about 70-80% of optimal performance. Does anyone know what sort of settings I should be looking into configuring to optimize game performance?

  2. 18 Ιουλ 2017 · If I got an SSD could I put PCSX2 on it and keep my games on the HDD? Would running the games from HDD make it slow or do games and emulator both need to be on SDD? Next question is about OS.

  3. I copy over the ROMs to SSD and delete them after. Cartridge-based games do not gain benefit, but CD-based games like PS2 do. For example, FMVs would chop with HDD, but smooth and continuous on SSD.

  4. 17 Ιουν 2012 · I have the recent version of pcsx2 (of what I can find) and I tried running my Monster Rancher 4 game from an iso (I tried by cd but it gives me the bsod every time). The game can run, but it is a bit slow even though my fps is at around 55-60fps.

  5. The only game I ever needed to absolutely run on SSD to eliminate stuttering was Xenoblade in Dolphin. Some PS2 games can probably take advantage too. Everything else should run just fine from a platter drive since the ROMs are small enough to load completely into memory.

  6. 4 Ιαν 2011 · My SSD like many others has my Boot OS, apps, and a few frequently used files and documents on it... whilst I have a HDD for Media etc... Now is it faster for PCSX2 to have the iso of a game on the ss.

  7. 21 Ιουν 2024 · Yes, SSDs can improve game performance. They work without moving parts, allowing for faster loading times and smoother gameplay. Additionally, games that stream assets from storage can benefit from the faster access times provided by SSDs.
