The Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) is an architecture framework for the United States Department of Defense (DoD) that provides visualization infrastructure for specific stakeholders concerns through viewpoints organized by various views.
The DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) provides the structure for organizing architecture concepts, principles, assumptions, and terminology about operations and solutions into meaningful patterns to satisfy specific DoD purposes. It enables the sharing and reuse of architectural data.
The BEA is the enterprise architecture for the DoD Business Missions Area and reflects DoD business transformation priorities and capabilities. It guides and constrains implementation of inter-operable defense business system solutions and aligns with DoD Architecture Framework and policies.
The DoDAF describes three major types of architectures that contribute to the DoD enterprise architecture, Mission Area architectures, enterprise enterprise-level level reference architectures, and Component enterprise architectures.
