  1. 15 Ιαν 2008 · I have been reading alot about the 2.7L engines dying around 30000 miles. Anyone out there having this problem. Seems the engines get gunked up with sludge real bad and the engines seizes. Timing belt breaking etc............

  2. 18 Απρ 2005 · I just rebuilt a 2001 2.7 engine at 114,000 miles and YES it had a sludge problem. 5. 7 Αυγ 2017 · Some of the issues you're describing were caused by my EGR Valve that failed. I had rough Idle, loss of power, surging at low cruising speed, misfiring, and stalling when accelerating from a stop. However it will eventually throw a P0404 or P0406 for this.

  6. 5 Μαρ 2011 · My 2002 Intrepid (120,000 miles) 2.7 has had a random misfire for a couple years now. Typically it'll happen when the engine is cold , but not always. Pretty much a perpetual check engine light. Here are the different scenarios that show up.
