Page 5 of the form provides specific information regarding requesting an exception based on COVID-19. Note that submission of the form does not guarantee that your request will be granted.
Students must meet the following requirements each semester to receive payment for TOPS: Be enrolled full-time on the 15th day of class each semester. Earn 24 credit hours each year over the fall, winter session, spring, spring intersession, and summer semesters.
The Financial Aid Office recommends all students receiving TOPS renew their FAFSA every year. Students must be enrolled for full-time hours on the 15th day of class to receive payment for TOPS for that semester. You can be paid if you are less than full-time under special circumstances.
4 Μαρ 2022 · Louisiana Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) is a scholarship program funded by the state of Louisiana. Students who have been Louisiana residents for at least two years and have graduated from a Louisiana high school are eligible to apply for TOPS.
A TOPS payment will not be made until the TOPS application is received, the student is determined eligible for a TOPS award by LOSFA, and an eligible Louisiana college has billed LOSFA for the student’s full-time enrollment.
