The annual award amount prior to Spring 2024 was $5,787.52. The annual award amount starting in Spring 2024 will be $2,380.00. Continuing students will be allowed to complete the program, but new students will not be accepted, effective fall 2023.
Students must meet the following requirements each semester to receive payment for TOPS: Be enrolled full-time on the 15th day of class each semester. Earn 24 credit hours each year over the fall, winter session, spring, spring intersession, and summer semesters.
The Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) provides Louisiana high school graduates meeting specific eligibility requirements with a scholarship if they choose to attend a Louisiana public college or university. This scholarship is available through the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA).
Assistance Commission (LASFAC) and the Louisiana Tuition Trust Authority (LATTA) are Louisiana’s premier merit-based scholarship program, the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS); the state’s 529 college savings plan, the Student Tuition Assistance and Revenue Trust (START) program;
