Antifreeze poisoning symptoms appear in two stages. In the first stage, which occurs 30 minutes to 12 hours after ingestion, your dog might seem depressed, and uncoordinated, and may vomit. Increased thirst and urination are also common. If you think your dog has ingested antifreeze, act fast.
Symptoms of Antifreeze Poisoning in Dogs. The symptoms may initially resemble drunkenness, including staggering, vomiting, excessive thirst, panting, and lethargy. If you notice any of these signs in your pet, particularly after potential exposure to antifreeze, it’s important to act immediately.
