In addition, they have an effective antidote, which is why they are the most commonly used today. Next, we look at the symptoms each of these types of rodenticide can cause.
Pets often gain access to rodenticides by eating baits or the poisoned rodents ( See also heading on page Strychnine Poisoning). Many rodenticides are toxic to pets. Early veterinary intervention in cases of ingestion provides the best chance for successful treatment.
