  6. Prescription medications are more commonly used to treat whipworm infections due to their efficacy. Fenbendazole: Effective against several types of parasites, including whipworms. Dose for Dogs: Typically, 25 mg per pound of body weight, administered daily for three consecutive days.

  7. Treatment. Several anthelmintic medications, such as Panacur (fenbendazole) or Drontal Plus (febantel/pyrantel pamoate/praziquantel), are approved for treating whipworms in dogs. These treatments target adult worms only.
