1 Δεκ 2022 · Of the estimated 4,970 female victims of murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in 2021, data reported by law enforcement agencies indicate that 34% were killed by an intimate partner (figure 1). By comparison, about 6% of the 17,970 males murdered that year were victims of intimate partner homicide.
In 2019, 109 victims lost their lives to domestic violence 44% of whom were killed by a current or former intimate partner. PCADV and its Statewide Prevention Leadership Team are focused on using existing and community-based data to prevent and end domestic violence in Pennsylvania.
