18 Μαΐ 2017 · I managed to install Doom 3 from my old cds onto my windows 10 alienware. Unfortunately, when I hit Play, it says I need to log in with administrator privileges. I AM administrator and have all the privileges except for the "special privileges" which you cannot change. So I don't know what else to do. This game worked fine on my windows xp.

In the new Window, scroll down the list and enable Legacy Components & Direct Play. .NET 3.5 is at top of the list (only need to tic the main box). - If Direct Play is enabled and the game still fails to launch. No surprise. 75% of MS Store reviews only gave the game a score of 1 out of 5. Most look to be due to the game not launching, or crashing.
10 Δεκ 2021 · Many thanks for your reply. I have already provided all the details separately to XBox support so sorry I didn't realise thats not available here. Here's some txt from DxDiag with system info for my laptop. Its plenty powerful and has both internal and discrete AMD Radeon graphics but I think Doom 3 just isn't up to date enough to cope with this.

28 Απρ 2023 · doom 3 on pc windows 11 : i bought it and installed it and launched it : it was displayed in window low resolution, and i could play it. so i changed the video settings and resolution to max : 4K 60 hz. i saved the settings and the window changed to 4K, the display was working fine in 4K. then it was asking me to re launch the app so i confirmed.
3 Σεπ 2015 · DOOM 3 is compatible with and runs fine on Win10, but because of MS's 'special' Malware feature - DRM Blocking - you need to use a noCD fix/hack with many (not the 'handful' promoted by MS) older disk based games. [ EDIT: I am using the original disk based game, btw. ]
