During the 6.71 – 6.78c era, DotA would receive updates while Dota 2 would get parity updates ported later, as part of the invite-only beta test for Dota 2's gameplay. The beta ended on 2013-07-09 and Dota 2 was officially released as a free to play game.
Incorrect, icefrog stopped updating allstars after 6.83 not 6.59. As a proof up to 2013 new heroes were released on allstars before dota 2. Up to 6.83 all updates dota 2 receved were also put into dota 1. And there is also community still playing 6.83 with i think like 10k online on iccup.

Dota 6.67 Map Download - Dota-Allstars 6.67 Official Map at last come to public! It's only around 2 weeks since Blizzard released Warcraft 1.24e. This map is a modified/enhanced version of official DotA 6.77 AI which contains 45 extra heroes and items just for fun. It contains Old Lifestealer, Silencer, Cloud Strife, Spongebob and other new concept heroes. Also, there's a shop with ultra-powerful item recipes.
