Ask pro tools support. Depends on your definition of Non-official. Non-AAX plug-ins wrapped as an AAX might work with varying degrees of success, but attempted cracks of existing AAX plugins will fail. There is copy protection code to prevent this.

If you are looking for some FREE plugins, then here’s the list, they often also work in any DAW that supports AAX, AU and VST, including Pro Tools, Studio One, Logic Pro X and many more.
You need to ensure you have installed the AAX (or RTAS, depending on how old your plugins are) version of the plugins for it to work with Pro Tools. Once they’re installed, PT will scan them automatically.
10 Ιαν 2024 · After adding the plugin to Pro Tools, you might need to configure its settings: Open Pro Tools: Launch Pro Tools and open a session. Access Plugin: Find your newly added plugin in the relevant menu within Pro Tools.
1 Αυγ 2021 · Any plugin which is registered with a serial number will work with Pro Tools. When a cracked plugin has its binary modified (i.e. the AAX file itself), Pro Tools will identify the mod and render it useless.
