When I have serious trouble sleeping, my low dose alprazolam and Doxepin does wonders. (I used to require much higher dose. The insomnia has improved over the years and I no longer need as much). Doxepin is so much better than Trazodone, which is what GP's often prescribe for sleeping issues.
My doctor prescribed doxepin and said I can easily take 25mg. But when I google I only see 3mg or 6mg studies. Does anyone here take doxepin? Curious what dosages other people are using and if taking more gives more benefit.
Doxepin for insomnia. Has anybody here tried this medication? I recently got a script for 10mg once before bed. When I tried it I felt like I wasn’t myself until about 5 pm the next day. I felt deeply anxious about being touched, and felt like my cognitive abilities were severely impaired. Does this go away? Does it work for anyone else?
