26 Ιαν 2023 · In this publication, we continue our Therapeutic Cheat Sheet series by highlighting the uses of Doxepin in dermatology, which has been described as one of the most impactful oral and topical medications used in the treatment of recalcitrant, chronic itch related to cutaneous disease.
Solution. Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressant well known by dermatologists for its antipruritic effects when used at low doses. However, it is not commonly known that the US Food and Drug Administration approves doses up to 300 mg/day.
