2 Μαΐ 2024 · The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens announced today the appointment of Diva Zumaya as the new associate curator of European art. Zumaya comes to The Huntington from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where she currently holds the position of associate curator of European painting and sculpture.
As the associate curator of European art, Zumaya will help develop and curate exhibitions, advise on new art acquisitions, and secure loans, among other activities, building on The Huntington’s signature strengths while also considering the connections among Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The Merillat Centre for the Arts (MCA), located on the campus of Huntington University, houses a large auditorium, a recital hall and an intimate studio theater where performances such as musicals, plays and concerts are shown throughout the year.
Professor Sir Alimuddin Zumla is professor of infectious diseases and international health at University College London. He is also a consultant infectious diseases at UCLH, honorary consultant at Royal Free Hospital, and holds a UK NIHR senior Investigator award.
