Begonias do not withstand a lot of wind whipping at them, harsh rain/hail, or harsh sun. So if these are the conditions your containers are in, you may have to rethink your planting plans.
Dragon wing begonias do best in full shade or partial sun. They do not like hot, mid-day sun so be sure to locate them in an appropriate place. Just like the red-wing begonia can tolerate full sun, it can survive in full shade, but it will affect flowering. The hybrid Dragon wing grows best and produces more flowers when it receives bright, indirect sunlight (part sun) year-round.
