Dream People of the Amazon tells the story of the Achuar, indigenous people who live in a remote and pristine part of the Amazon rain forest in southeastern Ecuador. The Achuar had no contact with the outside world until the early 1970′s.

19 Οκτ 2019 · There is not only one Amazonian culture, but as many as peoples in the rainforest (see anthropological definition of culture). However, we will refer here to the common traits of the groups of individuals that inhabit the immense Amazon river basin.
1 Ιαν 2018 · The darkest green areas show where forest—mostly tropical humid rainforests—thrive and have not been severely changed or degraded by human activity. Lighter green areas in Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and southern and eastern Brazil are generally tropical savanna (called Cerrado in Brazil).
27 Σεπ 2020 · There are signs that deforestation, drought and fire are pushing the fringes of the Amazon forest (which includes the Villas Boas’ Xingu) towards such a point. Scientists do not know for sure.
