PVC pipe could be used to go from the new well point to the water pump. That's Ok. But I still prefer to use galvanized pipe with a check valve installed in between the main point and pump.

Driving the Well Point. To properly drive your well point, the entire point must be below the water table or else the pump will only suck up air.
