1 Ιουλ 2008 · The completion of genomic sequencing and whole-genome assembly of 11 Drosophila species provides an opportunity to update, organize, and synthesize the genetic and physical maps of each species and to standardize the quality, presentation, and nomenclature of cytogenetic maps from each.
1 Φεβ 2012 · Here, we provide a first-generation gene-based linkage map and a physical map for this species. Consistent with previous studies of other drosophilids we observed strong conservation of genes within chromosome arms homologous with D. melanogaster but major differences in within-arm synteny.
FlyBase offers a downloadable spreadsheet that includes a cytogenetic-genetic-sequence location correspondence table, and listings of the genomic coordinates, cytological (polytene band) position and genetic map position for all annotated D. melanogaster genes (last updated June 15, 2016).
