The Drury Panthers are the athletic teams that represent Drury University, located in Springfield, Missouri, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Panthers compete as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference for all 21 varsity sports.
Hesser became the 19th head coach in Drury men's basketball history after successful stints as a high school coach in Oklahoma and Missouri. Before his arrival on Drury's campus, coach Hesser spent six years as head coach at Glendale High School and compiled a 97-39 mark with the Falcons.
Chris Foster is in his fourth season as the head basketball coach at Drury and his 11th year as a collegiate head coach in 2024-25. Foster's rebuilding efforts at Drury took a significant step forward in 2023-24 as the Panthers finished the season 15-13, a six-game improvement from the previous year.

23 Μαρ 2021 · SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Chris Foster has been named as the next head coach of the Drury University men’s basketball program by Vice President and Director of Athletics, Corey Bray. Bray made the announcement on Tuesday, two weeks after the previous head coach, Steve Hesser, announced his retirement after 17 seasons leading the team.
