I found a New 2DS XL on Amazon for $300~ in “Very Good” condition, and I was wondering if this is a reliable purchase, since this is just about how high I’m willing to go for price on a pre owned 3DS.
A DSi is an upgrade from The DS lite but The dsi xl is The Best way to experience DS games. All dsi xls have dual IPS and is the only xl model to keep the same screen resolution as the ds lite, so it’s the best way to play ds games on a large screen without losing too much quality— I’d go with the xl. I have both.
I feel like either the original DS/Lite (plays DS and GBA games) or any model of 3DS (DS and 3DS games) would be better buys. The DS library is definitely worth playing, but these days I'm not really sure that the DSi is the best way to do that. It's entirely up to you, though.
