Dua for Deceased Child - My Islam. Du'a for the deceased child at funeral. For those unfamiliar, Hisnul Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) is a well-known du'a book compiled by Said Bin Ali Bin Wahf Al-Qahtani. It categorizes authentic supplications that the Prophet ﷺ made in various situations.
1. Perhaps the most popular dua for the deceased is the following supplication attributed to the Prophet (s) in Sahih Muslim (963): O Allah, forgive him/her and have mercy on him/her, protect and pardon, honor their station, and make their resting ground spacious.

However, out of His mercy, Allah SWT has made a prescribed dua in the Quran that we can use to bring some Sakinah. Also through our Prophet (ﷺ), we learned guidance on how to handle our grief and how to help our loved ones by giving them the following Dua.
[Hadith | Muslim] You can recite this particular du’a for your loved one: اللهُـمِّ اغْفِـرْ لِـ-فُلاَنٍ (باسـمه)وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتََـهُ فِي المَهْـدِيّيـنَ ، وَاخْـلُفْـهُ في عَقِـبِهِ في الغَابِِـرِينَ، وَاغْفِـرْ لَنَا وَلَـهُ يا رَبَّ العـالَمـين، وَافْسَـحْ لَهُ في قَبْـرِهِ وَنَـوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ.

When we witness our children engaging in acts of devotion and excelling in righteous behavior, it brings a unique joy and coolness to our eyes.
