So, there we will be in heaven with an “immortality” that we enter into. There is light described in Isaiah 60:1, and John 8:12. Then, obviously, in Revelation 21:23, light comes.
9 Ιουλ 2024 · Answer. Revelation 21:4 holds a promise of restoration, where the current world will pass away and God will bring about a new reality. The verse states, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
When God brings heaven down to the new earth, “he will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 21:4). What an intimate picture — God’s hands will touch the face of each individual child, removing every tear. The same verse says, “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.”
God was realized everywhere, and therefore the little meeting-tent had vanished, and in place of the measurable tabernacle there were the immeasurable and God-filled heavens. Even here on earth I can measure my spiritual growth by the corresponding enlargement of my temple.
Verse by Verse Commentary. 1. A new heaven and new earth – The thousand-year reign of Christ on earth will be our present-day earth. But this earth will not last forever. Peter also taught that the world we live in is temporary. One day it will be judged and destroyed by fire.
The Prophet Isaiah made the following significant statement: “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind” (Isa. 65:17). What we now know as the heavens and the earth will no longer be remembered.
24 Δεκ 2017 · John depicts the reunion of heaven and earth as the descent of a new Jerusalem. Unlike the old Jerusalem that was corrupted and dishonored by most of Israel’s kings, the new Jerusalem would be ruled by a divine king. This new city would be built by God, not by human hands.
