All the tests in the experiment (duo-trio, triangle, and tetrad test) were done to analyze whether two different products, sprite and 7up, is having a significant difference or not. In this test, the reference used is constant reference A (Sprite), which is the same for all 40 panelists.
Analyse results from one of the following tests: 2-AFC, 3-AFC, Duo-Trio, Triangle, Tetrad. This is an alternative forced choice (AFC) discrimination test where panellists are presented with 2, 3 or more products and asked to select one product based on a pre-specified attribute.
2 Φεβ 2021 · The duo-trio test was found to be useful for products that had relatively intense taste, odor, and/or kinestethetic effects such that may impact sensitivity. A Duo-Trio Test is an overall difference test which will determine whether or not a sensory difference exists between two samples.
In this chapter we describe the more familiar discrimination tests such as paired comparison, duo–trio, triangle, dual standard, and A-not-A, as well as less used tests such as ABX and sorting tests. Data analysis techniques for these tests are described in detail (binomial, chi-square, z-, and beta-binomial distributions).
Binomial probability in Triangle testing is greater than a duo-trio. True/False? Why?
This book is an affordable sensory science textbook focused on the practi-cal aspects of sensory testing on a broad range of products. It is presented in a simple ‘how to’ style for use by industry and academia as a step-by-step guide on how to carry out a range of sensory tests.
There are a number of different discrimination tests available including triangle tests, duo-trio tests, paired comparison tests, n-alternative forced choice tests, tetrad tests (Frijters, 1984), polygonal and polyhedral tests (Basker, 1980).
