There are specific cultural conditions to follow and maintain to keep it thriving and happy in its growing environment. Soil. A well-drained soil that has a clay, loam (silt) and sand texture will be suited for growing crepe myrtle.
25 Μαΐ 2023 · Thankfully gardeners and growers both saw the need for smaller, more compact crepe myrtles—or crape myrtles or crapemyrtles if you prefer—that didn't need annual pruning. Growers created new selections of dwarf and semi-dwarf types that bloomed well, resisted disease, and were hardy.
Razzle Dazzle Cherry Crape Myrtle is easy to grow in well-drained soil and full sun. It is very low maintenance requiring little if any pruning to keep a nice shape. That being said, spent flowers can be removed to encourage a possible second flush of flowers.

Care • Most new varieties of Crape Myrtles are easy to care for as they are more disease resistant that older varieties. If you inherit a variety and are unsure of its disease resistance, inspect the foliage in late May for powdery mildew which presents as a white powder on the leaves and flower buds.
