This Dwarf Japanese Yew grows to 4 feet tall and 7 feet wide. Its dense foliage tends to fill out right to the ground – making it a great foundation plant, low hedge, and topiary candidate. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other conifers; and makes it a wonderful addition to plantings of grouped conifers.
Taxus × media is a hybrid designation for a large number of shrubby, often wide-spreading crosses of English yew (Taxus baccata) and Japanese yew (Taxus cuspidata). These hybrids are noted for combining the ornamental excellence of English yew with the winter hardiness of Japanese yew.
