1 Νοε 2020 · The biofilm-forming ability of E. coli isolates was evaluated with a microtiter-plate test using the method of Stepanović et al. (2000). Firstly, isolates that proved positive for biofilm formation were subcultured onto Congo Red agar (Merck, Germany) and incubated aerobically at 37 °C for 24–48 h ( Freeman, Falkiner & Keane, 1989 ).
10 Νοε 2020 · This review aims to provide updated information about outbreaks and recalls associated with fish and fish products in the past 25 years, identify major microbial concerns associated with fish products, and evaluate the presence and prevalence of AMR in fish and fish products.
31 Μαΐ 2015 · According to the European Food Safety Authority, pathogens such as Campylobacter, Salmonella, Yersinia, E. coli, and Listeria monocytogenes are responsible for major foodborne outbreaks worldwide (EFSA and ECDC 2015). However, not all pathogens are associated with foodborne outbreaks through the consumption of contaminated fish and fish products.
1 Ιαν 2003 · Several attempts have been made to detect coliforms and E. coli simultaneously and novel methods have been introduced, based on the detection of B-D-galactosi- dase (B-GAL) and g-D-glucuronidase (GUD) using enzymatic methods. Results of some compara- tive studies are discussed here.
