So you might try manually deleting your Origin install and failed EA app directories and trying again fresh. It installed fine on my old W7 install, so not sure what's not working for you. Reply reply

For me the EA app is online; but claims it isn't when I try to run any games. Checked firewall settings, ran as admin, removed and reinstalled everything. No joy.
My EA app just randomly stopped working, everytime i try to open it it says that there was an "unexpected crash". I checked on properties and it said it not compatible, despite the fact that it used to open before. I'm on Windows 10 64 bits, so it should definitely work.
So if anyone else is having issues, uninstall origin and ea desktop, then reinstall ea desktop, restart computer and go to Xbox app. If it doesn’t auto prompt you, click on the EA Play ad and explore EA Desktop or try to install a game.
