24 Απρ 2023 · How I fixed mine: 1. Install the game through Steam, normally. 2. If you don't already have the EA app installed, install it. Note that the game will not be indicated as "Installed" in the EA app. Yet! 3. Now install the game through the EA app and indicate exactly the folder you installed the game through steam.
So many are talking about the issue with games not launching since EA changed from Origin to the new EA app. I couldn’t open battlefield 1 or battlefront 2 but I found an easy fix. Simply go into desktop mode, go to the EA website and sign in with your account, then open the game you’re having issues with (in desktop mode).
Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from. EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair) EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify) Steam - Verify in your library. Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates.
Solution: Download EAInstaller.exe again (link in my EA App video). Point your non-steam game launcher to the EAInstaller.exe. Reboot your Deck (after the crash, something is stuck - rebooting it gets rid of it). Run the non-steam game. When EA asks you to LAUNCH or REPAIR, you say - repair.
22 Μαΐ 2023 · You should now be able to launch the game from your collection in Origin/EA app or, as initially intended, directly from Steam. Try it out to ensure it works: first, completely exit the Origin/EA app, and check it's not idling in the tray. Then, try launching the game from Steam.
Being up-to-date may fix your issue. If updating Windows doesn’t fix the issue or if your computer is up-to-date, download the DirectX End-User Runtime Installer. This will install any missing libraries needed to use the EA app. Close the EA app on your computer.
We had a few ways to address this (manually logging into EA in a browser and tying your accounts, EA App file replacements) and Valve heard our pleas and issued a fix into the PROTON EXPERIMENTAL compatibility version of Proton. The recommendation was to change your game from NO forced compatibility to Forced Compatibility with Proton Experimental.
