Johnson Wood Products offers gunstock blanks in American Walnut, Wild Cherry, Butternut, Myrtlewood, highly figured Eastern & Western Maple, Claro, Bastogne, and California English. Some species are limited in quantity. Stocks are offered in Select, Semi-Fancy, Fancy, Extra Fancy, and Exhibition Grades.

Gunstock blanks are priced on the beauty and grain flow of the blank. We have three varieties of walnut gunstock blanks. Black walnut, Claro walnut, and French walnut. All make superb gunstocks. Black (American) walnut is basically brown/dark brown with contrasting grain colors.
1 Ιουν 2024 · Royal Walnut Hybrid is a cross between Eastern Black Walnut and Claro Walnut. It provides the beautiful figure of Claro Walnut along with the hardness and strength of Eastern Black Walnut. Royal Walnut Hybrid is a favorite for large caliber rifles because of its closed pores and hardness.
We make gunstock blanks from figured maples, eastern black walnut, or special requests but not foreign or exotics. We will make custom sizes, standard sizes, muzzle loader blanks etc, etc, etc.
English Walnut Rifle Stock Blanks. We try to maintain a constant supply of true English walnut gunstocks in different grades. We offer full-stocks for Fowlers, Brown Bess, and guns like those. Additionally, we can also provide half-stocks for single and double barrel shotguns and modern gunstocks in different thickness.
