Some changes will be subtle and complex – and probably happen all the time – while others will be big and disruptive, and take place less frequently. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to how to respond to an algorithm update in order to boost eBay sales.
Although eBay sales have dropped steadily over the past several years for me since the pandemic caused a lot more people to start selling on eBay and cause competition for me, between this time last year and right now February 2024, my eBay sales have absolutely dropped off a cliff.
Why are my eBay sales down? The two main reasons for slow eBay sales are: eBay has slow summer months; your items are no longer in good demand; eBay is very interested in selling your items because they earn at least 10% of your sales. So, they are the last ones to blame for poor sales. Instead, looks for things you can change.
Every time I have an open return case, my sales slow down until it clears. My return rate is quite low, but on a 'fluke' I have two open right now in 'waiting for buyer to ship' mode. We actually had a zero-sales day yesterday - first time in literally YEARS that's happened vs. our usual 15-20/day.
Sales slow and people being cheap lately. Is it me or have sales sunk in the last few days? I got 0 organic sales in 4 days except one after sending offers and receiving a counteroffer which I accepted. Normally I'd get about a sale a day.
25 Σεπ 2022 · Since eBay’s changes last October, I cannot leave them sitting in my store without ending-and-selling-similar for more than 3 to 4 weeks without seeing a drop in their sales. What I find that works best for me is to end-and-sell similar my entire store every two weeks, or sooner if possible.
