19 Ιουν 2020 · Power wise, it's rated 3/16 - 1/2 oz with a really soft tip, but its strong backbone warrants heavier lures. Balance wise, it's balanced really well. The most balanced rods I handled are Dobyns rods, and it matches their level of balancing.
3 Οκτ 2018 · I have 2 of the Delta Edge rods, specifically the Delta FSC-CBG 714-1 and the Delta FSC-MBR 744-1 rods. Out of all my rods, these are probably my favorite rods to use. The 714-1 is rated as a Medium Moderate action and compared to other rods in my arsenal, I'd probably put it somewhere between a Moderate to Fast action.
19 Μαρ 2024 · If you want try an Edge rod for frogs, the EFX Pro MBR 736-1 would be a great choice. It will also fill in as a heavy jig or pitchin rod. In all honesty, a Dobyns Champion 736C gives the Edge a real run for the money.
15 Ιαν 2018 · I do think Edge rods have better action than SI's, as in for the intended purpose of the rods, Edge rods feel exactly how you want them to, SI's are light and lively, but none seem to have the perfect action for the line ratings.
This rod is very well suited for fishing contact baits but that more forgiving action under load also makes it surprisingly good for fishing reaction baits like smaller crankbaits, jerkbaits, and even blade baits.
