When is the Edinburgh Fringe? The Fringe always officially runs for three weeks, ending with the August bank holiday weekend. Its official dates for 2024 are August 2 to 26.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (also referred to as the Edinburgh Fringe, the Fringe or the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) is the world's largest performance arts festival, which in 2024 spanned 25 days and featured more than 51,446 scheduled performances of 3,317 different shows across 262 venues from 58 different countries. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe runs from 02-26 August 2024 . You can browse the programme and buy tickets online HERE, noting that you can also read [and download] a PDF of the full programme HERE which also lists locations throughout the UK where you can pick up an actual programme.
Once they've gone live, you can view every show listing at the Fringe on our website; we also have a digital pdf version of the printed programme you can flick through. Please note: this is the programme for Fringe 2024 – we'll update this page with the Fringe 2025 programme in summer.
