EdFinancial Services is the name of a legitimate servicer for federal student loans - they hold the loans I'm currently paying. Whether the email is really from them or someone phishing is a different question.

For all types of student loan forgiveness scams, act fast and follow one or all of these options: Contact your federal loan servicer to make sure no unwanted actions were taken on your loans (or to revoke any authorization agreement that your servicer has on file).
