The Equal Employment Division of the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity is committed to eradicating unlawful discrimination in state government through its civil rights law enforcement authority.
In order to file a complaint, the following two factors must be met: Standing (State Government Employees Only) Timeliness (Any complaint filed under the Georgia Fair Employment Practices Act must be timely. In order for the GCEO to have jurisdiction to investigate, complaints must be filed within 180 calendar days of the alleged discrimination.

In order to file a discrimination claim, you need to consult your local Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) office. * The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission extends Title VII’s prohibition on sex discrimination to prohibit discrimination against transgender and gender non-conforming people.*
