16 Ιουλ 2023 · Supporting the development of mentor-mentee relationships in nursing education has the potential to create caring environments in our nursing programs that will nurture the careers of the next generation of academic nurse educators, leading to increased job satisfaction and retention.
Continuous improvement and training are critical to acquiring and reinforcing effective mentoring skills. Requiring evaluation and follow up for mentors could result in increased satisfaction for both mentor and mentee and improve retention of new faculty in academia.
