29 Ιουλ 2020 · Mentoring programs for nurses already in the health workforce are growing in importance. Yet, the settings, goals, scale, and key features of these programs are not widely known. To identify and synthesize research on in-service nurse mentoring programs. We reviewed nurse mentoring research from six databases.
Mentorship is vital part of the nursing profession. The evidence suggests that competent mentors aid in facilitating role transitions, improving job satisfaction, enhancing patient care, and decreasing nursing turnover. Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) have the skill and knowledge to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care;
• Promote quality standards for mentoring programs; and • Expand mentoring programming and opportunities tailored to the needs and circumstances of young people.
