1 Ιαν 2023 · These problems include road injuries occurred by tyre failure, energy waste due to bad tire conditions, and contamination due to tire emissions from toxic substances, and tire-related road surfaces deterioration, etc.
1 Ιαν 2014 · A car and a tire require such diverse performances: handling, braking, durability, wear-resistance, NVH performance, fuel-efficiency, and so forth. Among them, a driver's stability is mainly related with the performances of handling and braking.
The friction between the tires of your automobile and the road determine your maximum acceleration, and more importantly your minimum stopping distance. So the nature of that friction could actually be a matter of life and death. But like all applications of friction, it has frustrating ambiguities.
The effect of tire-road friction force on vehicle performance and stability and on the perfor-mance of traction and ABS controllers is undeniable [15−19]. Different studies have developed and used different algorithms to estimate the tire-road friction.
16 Ιουν 2015 · In this study, the effects of different friction models on tire braking force were investigated. It is found that by using an exponential decay friction model, in which the braking angler can be varied, the maximum braking force can be obtained when the tire reaches critical tire slip.
This sampler of the most recent accidents indicates that vehicle-related issues are more significant than previously imagined. The present usage of many road unworthy vehicles is obvious from the sampler - brake failure, tire blowout, and losing maneuverability. The condition of the road is also identified as a major cause of accidents.
20 Απρ 2023 · It was found that, with ABS, the coefficient of friction was on average 13% higher on dry surfaces and 30% higher on wet surfaces, resulting in a 14.3% reduction in stopping distance on dry surfaces and a 37% reduction on wet surfaces.
