Abstract. Nicotine dependence is associated with increased risk for emotional, cognitive, and neurological impairments later in life. This study investigated the long-term effects of nicotine exposure during adolescence and adulthood on measures of depression, anxiety, learning, and hippocampal pyramidal cell morphology.
