I'm trying to check my antivirus protection downloading the EICAR test program as usual. The antivirus pops up an alert on the download (that's ok), but I cannot run the EICAR.COM program because it's an 16-bit program and I'm running Win7 64bit.

As many of you know (quite a few don't) what EICAR is, this is a open poll to see what programs pick it up and what programs fail the basic tests. I am conducting this poll because A-Squared failed to see this on a scan, but MSE picked it up before it could be downloaded.
8 Δεκ 2012 · If so, would it not be more prudent to tell people to make the EICAR file themselves, so you can test purely the anti-virus software on the computer and there will be no interference from web-browser based malware scanning.
